Whiteface Lodge is a premier Lake Placid family resort, offering a signature complimentary children’s program, Kamp Kanu. This on-site adventure camp is perfect for guests to enjoy during their stay, ensuring kids will have a blast and that their parents can get away and have some fun of their own.
Kamp Kanu is a complimentary day camp for children ages 3-10. Morning session runs 10 am – 12 pm and afternoon session runs 1 pm – 3 pm. A box lunch will also be available for additional fee of $12 from 12 pm – 1 pm. Kids will make new friends and play indoors and outdoors, with each program being led by highly qualified and trained counselors. The schedule changes daily and offers something for every child. Sample activities include: games, relays & races, tag games, obstacle courses, orienteering, treasure hunts, spy games and more. Indoor activities include scavenger hunts, games, arts & crafts, storytelling, science experiments, bowling, movies, Wii, and more.
Kamp Kanu runs daily during the Summer, beginning the last weekend in June through Labor Day weekend. The program operates on weekends and holidays for the remaining months of the year. In addition to Kamp Kanu, we also offer an evening program for children, Sunset Club, designed to offer parents the opportunity to enjoy a fine dining experience in KANU Restaurant while their children simultaneously enjoy a pizza dinner and an evening of fun themed activities and games. Sunset Club is offered 6 pm – 9 pm for children ages 5-10. The cost is $30 for the first child, $20 for the second, and $10 for each additional sibling per family.
The Sunset Club program runs Friday and Saturday evenings and holidays throughout the year, and daily during the Summer beginning the last weekend in June until Labor Day.
